Strife

These last few weeks, the strife has not been limited to the national stage. There's been plenty in our home life too; recently I lost my temper (for the 2nd time ever as an adult) and accused a beloved, close relative of "not having a brain." To add further stress, our homeschooling email newsgroup has turned into a knock-down-drag-out forum, first about politics and most recently about religion.

I'm sick of strife.

So, today I'm posting something passed on to me by my brother, which makes light of the upcoming election using... The Golden Girls.

Oh, I forgot to say that if this is only the 2nd time you've lost your temper in your adult life...will you be my friend?

LOL! I do mean, just to clarify, that this is only the second time that I've lost my temper and really, really blasted someone, saying things that I might regret but not caring. (The other time was when I went to Europe for a semester, survived 5 months in Italy without being physically molested in public, and then on my first night in Austria of all places, a young hoodlum grabbed my butt! After my tongue-lashing, though, I bet he's never done that again...)
I have been known to raise my voice with the kiddies, however... will you still be my friend?
